The student news magazine, Legend, provides students the opportunity for class workshops and actual experience in writing, editing, and producing a magazine alongside a news website and newspaper. It often works with the student-produced news broadcast, Newscene. Professor Nicole Vargas serves as the adviser.

DJRN 210-213 is an editorial magazine, news website and newspaper production lab required for all students working in any capacity on official student City College print and online publications. This includes writers, photographers, videographers, graphic artists, multimedia producers, editors and production staff.
