The City Times staff left Cal State Fullerton with a victory over the weekend.
At the Journalism Association of Community College Southern California Conference, the staff took home seven awards for its achievements, including two general excellence awards for the City Times news website and Legend magazine.

Copy Editor Scott Gardinier was also recognized and won third place for the on-the-spot copy editing contest.
Sports Editor Vicky Pineda earned an honorable mention award for her feature on City College alum David Pradel on his journey with the Knights basketball team.
Former City Times staff Nadia Madkin, David Ahumada and Elizabeth Vermeulen also earned awards that night for their contributions to the City Times newspaper and Legend magazine.
